Customer Request
Due to the high number of students and the limited space available, the customer required 500 mailboxes in one block for students in addition to a separate block with 80 units for teachers. Common features included safe storage of correspondence, optimising distribution times and maintaining an architectural discourse compatible with the structure.
Ravasi produced the 500 student boxes in a confined space by using modules that contain the correspondence with a depth of the A4 format and giving a vertical development.
Blocks were constructed to offer access via doors that can be opened with a unified key, for 50 boxes at a time in order to speed up the distribution of mail as much as possible by means of suitable numbering of the boxes, which is also shown on the inside.
Students will then each have access to their own box once the main door is closed. For teachers, a drop box with A4-size units and open slots is set up so that documents can be exchanged at any time. The correspondence area is even equipped with information boards, also manufactured by Ravasi. All furnishings were made in an ivory RAL 1013 colour that blends in harmoniously with the surroundings.
