Originally known as Fratelli Prada, the fashion house was founded in 1913 by brothers Mario and Martino Prada, who opened a leather, handbags, travel and luxury accessories shop in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
Thanks to the high quality of its products, the boutique quickly became a point of reference for the purchases of the European upper middle class and aristocracy, becoming the official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy in 1919.

Project Location
The Fondazione Prada, a museum building complex located in Milan, consisting of a permanent contemporary art gallery with works by various artists, designed by OMA – a Rotterdam-based Dutch architectural firm founded in 1975 by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and Greek architect Elia Zenghelis, together with Madelon Vriesendorp and Zoe Zenghelis.
